Kosmas Koumianos is coming back to his beloved homeland of Limnos for his fist exhibition on the island. Under the title “Viewpoint” he will present photographs of that have been produced throughout many years of visiting Limnos. Koumianos, in showing “Viewpoint”, is particularly interested in the Limnian landscape. His pictures present such familiar views of the island that they make the viewer feel that he has captured the very essence of the island itself. At the same time he uses light in such a way that he makes the landscape seem exotic and remote from both time and space.

Kosmas Koumianos
Kosmas Koumianos studied informatics at Piraeus Technological Education Institution and while working on this field; he decided to canalize his creativity in a series of photography studies. He started with Athens’ Small Polytechnic (Mikro Politechnio) Photography Seminars, advanced to OramaArt & Photography Studies and managed to enter the 2nd semester of London Middlesex University of Photography – AKTO, that led him to the International Center of Photography in New York where he mastered “Portraits”. Meanwhile, he participated in numerous workshops, taught by famous photographers from all over the world. He also has his share of teaching experience, as he taught “Editorial Photography” at Newschool Athens.
