Ochra Blue Art Space is a Gallery of Contemporary Art and Art shop in Myrina in the Greek island of Limnos. It holds consecutive exhibitions by renowned artists and hosts handcrafted art objects and jewelry.
Every spring and summer we present works of renowned and young artists through individual and group exhibitions. We also organize exhibitions in collaboration with artists and institutions from abroad.
We love art, we live with it and we also create. We seek and suggest contemporary ideas and trends from all kinds of art. We select the works of our collaborating artists based on their aesthetics, their authenticity, the contemporary design and the perfection of the construction
The owners and curators of the exhibitions as well as the people behind the eshop who are here to help you with any questions are Zanna Kandilidou and Nikolas Bliatkas.
With studies in Agriculture and seminars in Greece and abroad on the practice of visual arts in the education of children with special needs, she worked as a teacher in Special Needs Education. She designs and creates handcrafted objects made of paper. In 2013 she focuses on organizing the gallery.
He is visual artist, graduate of the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His presence in the field of art includes 18 solo exhibitions and many group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. He worked as a Teacher of Art in Secondary Education and at the same time as Art Director of the Municipality Art Workshops of Naoussa. Since 2013, he has been coordinating and curating in collaboration with Art Historians the exhibitions of Ochra Blue.
Οchra Blue Art Space established in 2013 in Myrina of Lemnos, the enchanting island of the Northeast Aegean. We came to the island as visitors in 2007 and our love for this place and its people was decisive. We decided to create an Art space in this ideal environment for us,which would promote the art of renowned and contemporary artists. Over the years, the place has been a reference point for locals but also Greeks and foreign visitors who want to experience the Art.
Ocher and Blue! Ochra is the Greek pronunciation of the word Ocher. Two colors that compose the summer look of the island. Wheat fields and pastures and the sea with the special color of the Northeast Aegean.
All these years we have hosted artists who have left their mark on the memory of our visitors with their work. Unique pieces that belong to the past and give their place to new choices.
