The source of inspiration is the human being. The human face and the variety of expressions it carries as a recording of emotions. With a strong tendency towards abstraction and through overlapping touches, I try to record emotions, in order to highlight the finite of our existence.
Nikos Vavatsis was born in Thessaloniki, where he lives and works. He has made 17 solo exhibitions and has participated with his works in many group works. His works are in private collections and collections of institutions and museums. In 2012 the painter presents – for the first time – anthropocentric works, which to this day are the main its thematic unit.
