In the works of Ifigenia Sdoukou the time-consuming, traditional art of stitching is re-established as an old technique but with a brand new identity in a strong modern expression, in a world addicted to instant and mass production, examining and dealing with issues such as: materiality, tradition , storytelling, gender, time and memory. The Bathers of Sotiris Lioukras, earthly mothers, are chromatically identified with nature in an effort to reintegrate man into his primary characteristics and needs, in a fragile bliss.

Nikos Kryonidis with the abstract mood and the diffuse spots of color, leads the viewer to associations, composing figures in a world full of seeds and fragmented concepts.

The surrounding poetic atmosphere in the works of Maria Panagiotou is enhanced by the design and color qualities of her painting. In her most recent compositions, her theme focuses on flowers presented on fragments of old floors.

The light and its reflections on the silver surfaces of the work and consequently on the sea, focus the interest of Nikolas Bliatkas. Wrinkled seas and a table after the meal, leads us to the time of rematch. At the same time, the Cycladic gardens in the works of Maria Tzirozidou with the fluidity and clarity of watercolor, contribute decisively to the sensitivity and romance, creating the feeling of the pulsating surfaces of the islands from the meltemi of the Aegean.

Dorina Malliou parallels the organic forms with the female body, so that in the development of patterns that start from a central core and spread in a circle in curved designs, to be interpreted symbolically with the mystery of the vital creation, such as life through the female matrix. In the engraving of Christiana Iliopoulou, the woman appears diverse with the reflections of her different inner self.

The works of Nikos Kokkalis, watercolors with mixed media, focus on the female figure and draw references from the iconographic types that she “dresses” in different periods of art. These almost transparent figures are a mixture of man and nature and tell their myths, hovering in uncertain spaces, while their figures recall the corresponding formations of the female body in the vessels of the geometric period, but also in the fragments of Greek statues.

The simple and silent landscapes of Alexia Xafopoulou with the use of bold color and thread on some surfaces invite the viewer on a journey and contemplation of the contrasts of our world. At the same time, the pluralistic touch and the diversity of color tones in Olga Mitseli’s Angels dissolve the material world and suggest its transcendental dimension.

In the works of Manolis Haros, the colors and the design refer to the images and the feelings that we have all felt for the character of the time and the place of the islands, as the time experienced in a different rhythm influences the way everything is captured by the painter.
