“For about ten years, influenced by the Cycladic nature, I have been painting the plants of my garden and the wider landscape of the island where I live. The materials I use are oil and watercolor. Watercolor, such a sensitive material, allows me to render the subtle color light that penetrates the flowers and to focus sometimes on the pattern and sometimes on the wider environment creating an interior landscape “.
Maria Tzirozidou was born in Athens in 1975 and studied at the Department of Fine and Applied Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In recent years he has been living and working in Sifnos island. Her works have been exhibited in Athens, Thessaloniki and other cities in Greece.
